Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Yes - it is really that time of year already! The school year begins to unwind as lazy summer days bark on its heels. But before it’s time to toss the backpacks into the closet for the summer, don’t forget to let the teachers know how much you appreciate all that they did the whole year through. Do you need some ideas? Check out these suggestions:

- Create a mini scrapbook that the teachers can fill with memories from the school year or keep on their desk as a reminder of what THEY did on summer vacation.

- Help put some fun into grading papers and student recognition by getting your teachers a set of the Recess stamps (#123090 wood/#123092 clear). These stamps and the coordinating wheels (Elementary Alphabet #123229, Teacher’s Pet#111554, For Teacher #123230, and School Colors #123228) are also great for creating cards and tags to go along with the teacher gifts.

- Give teachers a jump on organization for the new school year with Play Date File Folders (#117170) and Gusseted Envelopes (#120434). Hold it all together with some coordinating ribbon and a handstamped gift tag for a personal touch.

- Create a handmade gift card holder and embellish it with stamped images, accessories, and a bit of ribbon. Top it off with a gift card to a place they are sure to enjoy all summer long.

Want more ideas? What about a box of handstamped note cards, a coffee mug decorated with Decor Elements, a calendar created in My Digital Studio (#118108), or any of the various chalkboard Decor Elements? You can also check out pages 18 and 19 of the Summer Mini Catalog for other great project ideas for teachers.

Your gifts will be the talk of the playground and you won’t even break a sweat putting together these tokens of appreciation. You’ll be giving the teachers a sweet send-off into summer vacation with your thoughtful and handcrafted gifts.

Last Night’s & New Stamp Club

I can’t believe that by only our second meeting the club is almost full!

So, with that being said, I am starting a second club!  This one will meet on Wednesday nights with 2011 dates being:

6/15, 7/6, 9/14, 10/12, 11/9, 12/14

At my stamp clubs, I prepare a variety of projects for members to make.  All supplies are provided (except adhesive – available through me).  Stampers work at their own pace and instruction is available as needed.  Stamp club is the best way to really learn a lot of fun techniques and make a variety of projects without having to purchase everything at once.  Monthly dues are only $15.

Member’s stamping experience ranges from brand new stampers just starting out to veteran stampers that have been stamping for years.  Club is a social relaxed atmosphere.   What ever your experience level, this will be a night that you enjoy.

If you are interested in trying it out, or have any questions, please contact me today!

All meeting are held in my East Falmouth, MA home.

These are the rest of the projects that we made last night.  Three of the projects were posted previously.

Birthday Tin – Gift Card Holder

This project uses that Party Hearty Stamp Set that you can get for 30% off this month as part of our National Scrapbook Month Promotion.

Sail Away for Fathers Day

This stamp set  is one of my personal favorites.  This morning I made 5 more of these cards and stamped CAPE COD on the bottom (now I want to drive down to the beach).  This card uses the Shaving Cream technique to get that cool water effect.  The stamp sets used were Sail Away, The Open Sea, and Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Butterfly Easel Card

Wouldn’t this make a beautiful place card for a wedding or bridal shower!!!  The base of this card uses the Beautiful Butterflies Die and the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  The top butterfly is stamped from the Strength & Hope Set.  When you purchase this stamp set $2 will be donated to the Breast Caner Research Foundation.

Hello Blossoms Card

This was one of the favorites of the night, simple and cute.  It uses the the single Hello Blossoms Stamp with our Stampin’ Write Markers and the direct to stamp technique (aka huffing) to give you the different colors.
